James Christianson is an enologist (wine scientist) and environmental consultant,
serving clients in the San Francisco Bay Area and the Northern California Wine
Country.  

James currently serves as enologist for
Cline Cellars & Jacuzzi Family Winery in
Sonoma County.  He has also worked in the vineyards, labs and cellars of

Gundlach-
Bundschu Winery, Bartholomew Park Winery and Kunde Family Estate
Winery.  At home, James produces his own "garage wines" - a Grenache, a
Grenache-Petite Sirah-Mourvedre blend, an "estate-grown" (i.e., backyard) Petite
Sirah and an "estate" Petite Sirah Rose'.

As a consultant, James provides sustainable solutions for businesses, vineyards
and wineries.  He has assisted
Kaiser Permanente, Disney, Autodesk, PG&E
and Comcast
with their reuse and recycling efforts, diverting waste from landfills
and managing donations of thousands of pieces of surplus office furniture and
equipment, computer systems and office supplies to Northern California schools
and non-profits.

James is a graduate of U.C. Berkeley, a former researcher at U.C. San Francisco
and a former Associate in Research at Harvard University.  He has also studied in
the viticulture and enology programs at
U.C. Davis Extension and Napa Valley
College.Prior to founding Cap-Marin in 2004, James spent over 15 years with Sun
Microsystems Japan and Sun Asia-Pacific.
